Product Description

Carbosol High Build Primer/Undercoat is now available in an aerosol format. Use on wood, metal, previously painted surfaces and most other surfaces. Suitable surfaces include wood, ferrous metal, masonry and previously painted surfaces. Not only available in white but also supplied in grey and red. This means you can select the correct shade type for your suitable top coat. This primer is touch dry in 3 hours.

Application details:
Ensure are surfaces are free from contamination, are clean, dry and free from rust and grease free
Share well for approx. 2-3 mins ensuring the agitator ball is free before use.
Spray lightly from approximately 6-8 inches, applying light even coats
For heavy duty use apply several coats.
Shake the container occasionally throughout applications.
After use invert can and spray briefly to clear the valve.

Coverage details:
Coverage approx.: 2m² per can

Drying Times:
Allow 15 minutes between coats
Allow 30 mins before handling
Drying time is dependent on film thickness: approx 1-2 hours @ 20 °C

Colours Available: Grey, Red, and White.

Coverage / Drying Times

(Based on standard conditions of 20°C)

Surface Dry: 15 minutes (Touch dry).

Hard Dry: 1 – 2 hours (Full film dryness depending on thickness; allow 30 minutes before handling).

Overcoat: After 15 minutes. (Wait 15 minutes between light coats during the initial application).

Theoretical Coverage: Approximately 2m² per 400ml can.

Thinning and Cleaning

Thinning: Not applicable (Aerosol). Shake well for 2–3 minutes before use until the agitator ball is free. Shake occasionally during application.

Cleaning: After use, invert the can and spray briefly to clear the valve and prevent clogging. For accidental overspray or cleaning of surrounding areas, use Palatine White Spirit
