Product Description

Survey Line Marking Spray Paints are used to create temporary lines on a range of ground surfaces. They are ideal for marking areas for construction and temporary hazards, with multiple colours available to mark out different areas. The survey paint markers can be applied to almost any type of surface, including concrete, bitumen, gravel, timber, soil, grass and plants.

The lines created with this survey paint start to disintegrate after 2 to 3 months (depending on UV exposure and surface), creating temporary markings for short term use. For creating permanent lines, please see the Acrylic Line Marker Spray 750ml.

Please note: The colours on the product listings are only given as a guide. This is due to the fact that every computer monitor has a different capability to display colours. In addition, everyone sees these colours differently.

1. Ensure surface is clean and dry.
2. Shake can vigorously for 2 minutes.
3. Invert the can and spray downwards 50-75mm from the surface. The closer the aerosol to the surface being marked, the narrower and more accurate the lines. Use masking tape when required to increase line accuracy and sharpness. The speed of movement controls the density of the marked line.
4. IMPORTANT! After use: turn can upright and face away from user. Spray for a few seconds to clear the nozzle.

Preparation:

Proper surface preparation is essential for the success of any protective coating system. Before you begin ensure the area is free from any dust, oil, grease, old coatings and surface contaminants.

Ideal enhanced protection beneath Palatine’s selected Top Coats.
Rub down previously gloss painted surfaces with fine waterproof abrasive paper and rinse thoroughly.

Application:

Best results are obtained in warm (minimum 10°C), dry conditions.

Mix thoroughly for approximately 2 minutes using a drill stirrer. A wooden batten at least 25mm wide is also ideal.
Apply an even coat using a brush, short to medium pile roller on smooth surfaces and a long pile roller on textured surfaces.
For spray application by either airless or conventional spray a dilution ration of no more than 10% is recommended with Palatine White Spirit by volume.
A second coat can be applied at full strength. This will prolong the life and performance of the coating.
For application onto wooden surfaces, a minimum of two coats is recommended.

Drying Time @ 20ºC: Drying times will be extended at low temperatures.
Do not apply when ambient temperature falls below 5ºC or relative humidity exceeds 90%.
Surface dry @ 20ºC: 3 hours
Overcoat@ 20ºC: After 24 hours (temperature dependent).

(Coverage rate can be affected by such variables as type and condition of substrate, type of application equipment and individual method of application.)
