Carbosol White Oxide Primer Aerosol Spray is a quick drying and easy to apply white oxide primer in 400ml aerosol spray can, allowing you to complete smaller jobs quickly and efficiently. The spray format is also ideal for accessing hard to reach areas, giving a protective layer over which to apply a topcoat.
This superior quality white oxide primer spray is perfect for use on ferrous metal, wood and other surfaces. Creates a rust inhibiting layer to give protection and a smooth surface, ready for application of a topcoat.
As it’s easily applied and surface dry in 15 minutes, this white metal primer spray is a solid, practical choice for steel/iron surfaces and in addition is useful for smoothing and preparing other surfaces such as wood. White primer aerosol is a good alternative to red when using certain top coat colours.
Other items in our Carbosol range include: satin, matt and gloss finish aerosols and spray yacht varnish.
Please note: Due to printing limitations, the colour may vary from the cap and can colour.

Q: Why would I choose a white primer instead of a red one?
A: White primer is the best choice if you plan to paint a light or bright color on top, as it helps the final color look more vibrant and requires fewer coats.
Q: Can this product be used for professional industrial jobs?
A: Yes, while it is easy for DIY users to handle, the formula is high-quality and designed to meet the standards required for industrial and agricultural equipment.
Q: Can I buy this product in bulk if I have a large project?
A: Yes, this product is available as single cans or in boxes of twelve for larger tasks or for keeping a supply in your workshop.
Q: Does this primer contain lead?
A: No, this modern formula is lead-free, making it safer to use than old-fashioned oxide primers while still providing excellent protection.
Q: Is the finish of this primer shiny or dull?
A: This primer dries to a matte finish, which is intentionally slightly rough so that your next layer of paint can grip onto it more effectively.
