Chalkboard Paint is a quick drying coating meaning you can transform your space or area in 12 hours. Touch dry in a couple of hours.
Please note: The colours on the product listings are only given as a guide. This is due to the fact that every computer monitor has a different capability to display colours. In addition, everyone sees these colours differently.
Colours Available: 11 Standard, BS 381C, BS4800 and Ral Classic range.
Pack Sizes: 500 ml, 1 Litre, 2.5 Litre, 5 Litre.
Coverage / Drying Times:
Surface Dry: 1 to 2 hours
Hard Dry: 8 hours
Overcoat: after 2 to 4 hours
Keep coated areas dry for a minimum of 24 hours following application.
Please note, drying times will be extended at low temperatures. Do not apply when ambient temperature falls below 10ºC
Theoretical Coverage: 12 – 14m² per litre.
(Coverage rate can be affected by such variables as type and condition of substrate, type of application equipment and individual method of application.)
Surface Preparation
All surfaces to be painted should be clean, dry and free from loose and flaking material. Rub down glossy surfaces with wet / dry and rinse thoroughly. Avoid the inhalation of dust. Apply 1 part water to 9 parts Palatine Truflat Contract Matt to seal absorbent surfaces.
If applying to wood, prime with Trucryl Wood Primer.
Mixing
Stir well before use.
Application
Do not thin unless applying onto absorbent surfaces or spraying when up to 10% of clean water can be added.
Apply paint evenly and avoid overspreading.
Do not apply in temperatures below 10c.
Thinner: Clean water
Coverage: 12 to 14 sqm per litre
Preceding Coat
Palatine Truflat Contract Matt if applying to an absorbent surface.
Subsequent Coat
Two coats are recommended with 2 – 4 hours recommended between coats.
Application Methods
Apply by brush, roller, paint pad or spray.
