Product Description

Thermoguard Safeceilings Onecoat Ultra Matt is a single coat intumescent coating designed for interior ceilings. It can be applied to previously painted or newly primed ceilings and provides BS EN Class B and Class 0 fire rating. This paint is designed to be used alongside the Thermoguard Safewalls system for indoor walls.

SafeCeilings OneCoat Ultramatt is a high-performance coating designed specifically for ceilings. It combines flame retardant intumescent protection and insulation in a single coat. This water-based formula ensures easy application with low VOCs, making it user-friendly and environmentally conscious

A dual purpose coating for building safety and functionality:

  • Flame Retardant Intumescent Protection: Activates when exposed to heat, expanding to form a protective char layer that insulates the underlying substrate, significantly slowing down the spread of flames.
  • Insulation Properties: Helps regulate temperature variances within the building, contributing to improved energy efficiency and thermal comfort.
  • User-Friendly Formula: Water-based composition with low VOCs, offering easy handling, minimal odour, and simplified cleanup.

Safeceilings Onecoat Ultra Matt is touch dry in 1 hour and fully dry after 4 hours.

Application Conditions
Do not apply in temperatures under 8°C or above 30°C.
Maximum relative Humidity below 75%.
Surface should be at least 3°C above the dew point.

Preparation
Surfaces to be clean dry and firmly adhering
Ensure good ventilation
Do not apply while condensation could occur during drying

Application
1 good coat applied at 10 sqm per litre over White and Off White colours

Brush or Roller
Apply using a woven short pile roller sleeve or synthetic brush
Onecoat must be clean and fully hard dry before application of additional coats.

Spray
Pressure Pot and Gun conventional with hand-portable compressor – thin 5% water
OR Airless Graco 1500, 3500 or equivalent. 3/8” line, 30 mesh filter on machine, no filter in gun. 521, 523, 621 or 623 tip
Ensure coverage is applied as per can i.e., 20 sqm can covers 20 sqm.

Cleaning
Return as much unused material to its original container as possible. Wash brushes, rollers and guns with clean water immediately following use.

Drying Times
In normal conditions product will be touch dry in an hour and fully dry after 4 hours
