Supercote Trade Matt Emulsion provides an economical trade quality matt finish. High opacity and one coat coverage power make it ideal for jobs where efficiency and speed are necessary. Suitable for interior walls & ceilings in residential, commercial and factory settings. Use also as a matt emulsion paint on new plaster work and breeze blocks.
This emulsion is perfect for covering large areas quickly whilst creating a smooth and professional finish.
For the full range of emulsions we supply, see here. Supercote Trade Matt Emulsion is a practical choice because it is suitable for application by brush, roller, pad or spray. If you’re wondering which roller to use, our selection is vast.
In general, foam or short pile rollers are best for smooth surfaces. Whereas longer pile rollers are definitely better for rougher or textured surfaces. Natural fibres like sheepskin are known for good pick up and release qualities. Check out the BCF’s surface preparation tips.
General Surfaces: Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, and other contaminants.
Previously Painted Surfaces: Gloss and oil-painted surfaces should be washed clean and rubbed down to create a “key.”
Surface Integrity: Powder or flaky surfaces must be primed prior to painting.
Porous Surfaces/New Work: For the first coat on new plaster or breeze blocks, thin the paint with up to 20% clean water (avoid over-thinning).
Ambient Conditions: Do not apply when the temperature falls below 5°C or if relative humidity exceeds 90%.
Mixing: Stir the paint well before application. If using more than one batch of the same colour, intermix them first to ensure colour consistency.
Methods: Apply by brush, roller, pad, or spray.
Brush: Load the brush generously and avoid over-spreading.
Roller: Load generously and apply evenly.
* Use a foam or short pile roller for smooth surfaces.
* Use a longer/deep pile roller for rough or textured surfaces.
Coats: Provides high opacity and one-coat coverage for efficient application on large areas.
