Product Description

Palatine Stable Paint is a water-based matt finish horse stable topcoat available in black, blue, red and more. With a hard wearing durable finish and fast drying properties it makes an excellent paint for stable walls. Unlike many other brands, our horse stable paint is available in appealing colours such as blue, traditional red oxide and anthracite grey.

This product creates a breathable, water resistant finish for interior and external use.

Preparation

Test Patch: Always carry out a test patch (approx. 100x100mm) before full application to ensure compatibility with the substrate and to confirm the colour meets your requirements.

Surface Condition: Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from contaminants, dirt, and pollution.

Substrates: Suitable for brickwork, breezeblock, plaster, masonry, render, and wood.

Metal: Can be used on metal surfaces provided an appropriate metal primer is applied first.

Consistency: If using more than one batch of the same colour, intermix them before use.

Application

Methods: Can be applied by roller, brush, paint pad, or spray (both conventional and airless).

Environment: Designed for both interior and exterior use. It provides a breathable, water-resistant, and “horse-friendly” finish.

Opacity: Known for high opacity and excellent coverage power.

Colours Available: White, Black, Brick Red, Thunder Grey & Sapphire Blue

Pack Size: 2.5 litres, 5 litres.

Coverage / Drying Times

(Based on standard conditions of 20°C)

Surface Dry: 1-2 hours

Hard Dry: 12 hours

Overcoat: After 2-4 hours (temperature dependent).

Theoretical Coverage: 12 – 14m² per litre.

(Coverage rate can be affected by such variables as type and condition of substrate, type of application equipment and individual method of application.)

Thinning and Cleaning

Thinning: Use clean cold water.

Cleaning: Use clean cold water.

If using more than one batch of the same colour, intermix before use.
