Pliocem® Pliolite Masonry Paint is a solvent borne, Pliolite® based exterior masonry paint designed for weather protection and an attractive, decorative finish. Pliocem forms a tough, mould and dirt resistant film with superior weathering for outdoor use, adheres well and acts as a barrier against water and CO2 attack. Our masonry paint is available in a range of colours, including the popular anthracite dark grey.
The coating is suitable for use on surfaces such as cement rendering, rough cast, brick, or concrete walls and structures. Apply to new or painted masonry to give a high quality, smooth finish. A great advantage of our smooth masonry paint is that it can be used in low temperatures and when rain is imminent.
Enhance and protect exterior walls of houses, garages, office buildings and garden structures with a stylish, decorative finish in a wide range of masonry paint grey and other colours including: anthracite grey; black; white; brick red; olive green; silk grey; cotton cream and more. To see an example of each colour, press the ‘Select Colour / Option’ button and a menu will appear with an images of our stock colours.
If the colour you want is not listed, add your chosen colour code from the RAL Classic or BS381C / 4800 ranges and we will match it for you. (NB. Certain colours may have an additional cost. we will contact you before processing your order if this is the case).
Porous Surfaces: Pliocem® Pliolite Masonry Paint performs best on porous surfaces when used with our Pliocem Concrete Sealer.
The colours on the product listing are only given as a guide. This is due to the fact that every computer monitor will display colours slightly differently. In addition to this, everyone sees these colours differently.
Apply with our twin head masonry kit.

Preparation:
Proper surface preparation is essential for the success of any protective coating system. Before you begin ensure the area is free from any dust, oil, grease, old coatings and surface contaminants.
The preparation of steelwork prior to painting generally falls into two main areas; that of degreasing and the removal of rust and scale.
All surfaces to be painted should be clean, dry and free from loose and flaking material, dust, grease and millscale, etc.
Prime bare surfaces with Palatine Anti-Corrosive Metal Primer or Palatine All Purpose Primer / Undercoat in accordance with our recommendations
For non-ferrous metals use Palatine Fast Dry etching primer.
Rub down previously gloss painted surfaces with fine waterproof abrasive paper and rinse thoroughly.
Application:
Best results are obtained in warm (minimum 10°C), dry conditions.
Mix thoroughly for approximately 2 minutes using a drill stirrer. A wooden batten at least 25mm wide is also ideal.
Apply an even coat using a brush, short to medium pile roller on smooth surfaces and a long pile roller on textured surfaces
For spray application by either airless or conventional spray a dilution ration of no more than 10% is recommended with Palatine White Spirit by volume applying thin coats allowing each one to dry before applying subsequent coats.
Once dried, a second coat can be applied at full strength. This will prolong the life and performance of the coating.
Thinning and Cleaning: Use Palatine White Spirit.
If using more than one batch of the same colour, intermix before use
Please note: The colours on the product listings are only given as a guide. This is due to the fact that every computer monitor has a different capability to display colours. In addition, everyone sees these colours differently. Sample pots are available to order upon request. Always carry out a test patch (approximately 100x100mm) before full application to ensure compatibility with previous coatings and the substrate, and to ensure the colour achieved meets your requirements. Failure to do so will result in a product refund claim not being accepted.

I was looking for a dark grey masonry paint for a garden wall . All the masonry paints I found had bad reviews regarding the colour. Then I found Pliolite masonry paint, in Anthracite. The reviews were good. Just painted the wall and the coverage and the colour were perfect!!! My husband is so pleased with how good the wall looks. Well recommended !!!

Top quality product. Hunted everywhere for Anthracite Masonry paint that actually states Anthracite on the tin & this was one of a few that did. Very pleased with the purchase. Easy to apply with lovely coverage & finish. Did need 2 coats to cover red but to be expected. Pricy but you don’t pay top dollar for steak & end up with mince. Would recommend highly & would have no hesitation buying from Palatine in future.

Purchased from Palatine Paints for the first time. Excellent customer service via the online chat on the website as I was unsure which paint I would need etc. After being given the suggested options I purchased the Silk Grey Pliocem® Pliolite Masonry Paint option. Collected next day and painted the wall at the weekend and it looks fantastic. Didn’t really need a 2nd coat but I did apply the 2nd coat as I had enough paint left over. Highly recommended product and business.

Was advised to paint new rendering in a fireplace with a breathable paint. This did a great job, good coverage and depth of colour (Oyster White).

I’m a great fan of Pliolite Masonry paint because of its durability and the fact that you can use it in cold weather and when there’s a risk of rain. I saw Palatine’s version and was attracted by the competitive price – I thought I’d give it a go. I have to say it’s every bit as good as the leading brands. I’ll be buying it in future.
