Barrettine Driveway, Decking and Patio Cleaner is perfect as a preparation treatment to rid decking of unsightly mould and algae prior to applying Decking Oil. It also effectively cleans patios and driveways that have been subjected to a build up of mould, algae and fungi.
This powerful cleaner is also suitable to use internally (with correct safety precautions) to remove mould and algae from timber or stone before painting and decorating. Contains a surface biocide which kills unsightly mould, fungi, algae and cleans grime away from patios, paths, drives, decks and many other hard surfaces.

Easy to use straight from the container. First remove as much loose matter and growth as you can, then agitate and clean the surface with a wire brush. Next, apply the Deck and Driveway Cleaner generously using either a brush, cloth or spray. Leave it for up to 24 hours and finally wash away with clean water to leave the surface clean and mould free.
The process may need repeating if there is significant grime or mould build up.

How to use:
Before applying Barrettine Decking and Patio Cleaner, remove as much surface dirt, debris and organic growth as possible with a scraper, stiff brush or broom
Always do a small test area before starting any project to confirm performance and compatibility, and follow the manufacturer’s instructions on the tin at all times. Do not apply if rain is expected.
Apply Decking Cleaner generously using a lint-free cloth, decking brush or spray applicator
Ideally leave for 24 hours to maximise biocidal effect
Wash any excess treatment with clean water
Repeat if necessary for heavily contaminated areas
The wood is now ready for finishing
Once wood has been treated and cleaned with Barrettine Driveway, Decking and Patio Cleaner it is ready to be treated with a wood treatment to protect against future infestations and finished with an appropriate wood oil, paint or stain
