Application:

Surface Preparation:
Correct preparation is essential for the successful application of this coating. All cracked, broken, slipped or missing slates, tiles, sheets or other forms of coverings should be replaced or refixed and cracks in felt or asphalt filled.

Ensure surfaces are dry, clean, and free from debris, algae, or grease. Treat biological growth with a fungicidal wash.
Priming: Use a bitumen primer on porous surfaces like concrete or asbestos cement.

Application: Apply 2–3 coats by brush or spray. Allow each coat to dry before applying the next.

Reinforcement: For damaged or unstable roofs, embed a glass fibre or hessian scrim between coats.

Final Finish (For Long-Term Durability): For UV protection and durability, finish with stone chippings or a solar reflective coating.

Option 1: Stone Chippings
Apply a third coat at 1.5 m²/litre.
While still tacky, blind the surface with 1–2mm stone chippings.

Option 2: Solar Reflective Coating
Allow the final coat to weather for 2–4 weeks.
Apply a solar reflective coating
