Product Description

Coo Var Anti Condensation Paint has a white finish that reduces moisture build up on the applied surface. It contains a biocidal product that reduces discolouration and helps to preserve the paint film. The paint can also be overcoated instead of being left as a white finish.

Touch dry in 2 hours and hard dry in 8 hours. Leave 4 hours or overnight before overcoating.

Damp VS Condensation: What’s the difference?

• Damp is caused by external moisture sources infiltrating the property, such as rain or groundwater. It can lead to problems like rising damp, which shows tide marks on walls, or penetrating damp, which causes damp patches and discolouration.
• Condensation, on the other hand, occurs when warm, moist air meets cold surfaces inside the home, leading to moisture build up. This is often seen as water droplets on windows and walls and is exacerbated by activities that generate high humidity, like cooking and showering.

Anti-Damp Paint is designed to help you decorate quickly after fixing a damp problem. It contains an active reagent that combines with surface moisture and dampness, allowing it to be overcoated with conventional paints. However, it does not cure the cause of dampness.

Anti-Condensation Paint helps prevent condensation from forming on walls and ceilings. It contains a biocidal product to preserve the dry film and reduce discolouration. It can be left as a white finish or overcoated and has a lightly textured, matt finish.
