Benefits of Thermal Anti-Condensation Paint:
TruTherm by comparison:
To create effective anti-condensation paints, formulate them below the CPVC threshold – TruTherm
The dry paint film is especially non-porous. Impervious to water, scrub, and stain resistant – TruTherm
The use of fungicides helps enhance the durability of the paint – TruTherm
For effective anti-condensation paint, prioritize low thermal conductivity to enhance wall surface temperature through some degree of thermal insulation – TruTherm
The temperature of the wall in contact with the ambient moist atmosphere is greater. Condensation will not appear or will be delayed on its surface – TruTherm
Theoretical Coverage: 12 – 14m² per litre.
Protect your walls with confidence. Palatine Anti Condensation Paint has been independently tested by a UK registered laboratory and proven to deliver exceptional resistance to fungal growth, even under high humidity conditions. Ideal for high-moisture areas, this advanced formula includes powerful biocides and microbiocides to ensure long-lasting performance
Q1: What is TruTherm Anti-Condensation Paint, and how does it work?
A: TruTherm Anti-Condensation Paint is specially engineered to reduce surface condensation, helping prevent moisture buildup on walls and ceilings. It contains insulating and thermally diffusive additives that moderate surface temperatures, discouraging dew point formation and damp patches.
Q2: In which rooms or conditions is TruTherm Anti-Condensation Paint best used?
A: TruTherm is ideal for high-humidity or poorly ventilated areas such as bathrooms, kitchens, laundries, bathrooms, basements, or rooms where condensation issues have previously occurred. It’s especially useful where external insulation or ventilation upgrades are not feasible.
Q3: How many coats should I apply, and what is the drying time?
A: Apply two coats for optimal performance. Allow the first coat to fully dry before applying the second. Under standard interior conditions (moderate humidity & temperature), the paint typically becomes touch dry within 2–4 hours, and ready for re-coating in 6–8 hours. Note: curing may influence full anti-condensation effectiveness, so always check datasheet for specific timings.
Q4: On what surfaces can TruTherm be applied, and what preparation is needed?
A: It can be applied on walls, ceilings, plaster, drywall, cement surfaces, and previously painted surfaces (if sound). Surface prep is critical:
Ensure walls are clean, dry, and free from mould, dust, grease or loose material.
If necessary, use a suitable primer or stabilising coat on very porous or flaky surfaces.
Lightly abrade shiny or glossy surfaces for better adhesion.
Remove residual dust before painting.
Q5: Can TruTherm be tinted or colour-matched, and is it durable / washable?
A: Yes — TruTherm Anti-Condensation Paint may be tinted or matched to standard colour systems (e.g. RAL, BS, NCS) depending on your setup. Keep in mind that custom-tinted versions are usually non-returnable, as they’re mixed to order. Once fully cured, the surface is durable and can be lightly cleaned (e.g. gentle wiping), but avoid harsh scrubbing to preserve its thermal properties.
