Ice Cube Melting Demo

This demonstration crearly shows some of the properties at work when coating a substrate with the Zenova IP Insulation Paint. In this demonstration, we show how the extremely low thermal conductivity (which has been independently measured to be 0.069 W/mK) provides a thermal barrier, which as a result, blocks the heat from being transferred from the stove through the highly conductive frying pan to the ice cube.

Condensation Illustration Video

A 1mm thick layer of stainless steel has been painted with Zenova Primer. Following this, two layers of Zenova IP were applied. The metal plate was then placed in the freezer for one hour before being removed and placed on the table at room temperature.
