Epoxy floor paint for concrete floors is a durable, high performance, floor paint with good chemical and abrasion resistance. This highly durable, Epoxy resin floor paint is ideal for use on floors across many industrial and commercial sectors such as: laboratories; factories; showrooms; schools; plant rooms and food processing locations. Ideal for food preparation areas, breweries, abattoirs, bottling factories, and similar environments
Internal Lining: Suitable for concrete or steel storage tanks containing oils, chemicals, water, and more.
Chemical Bunds: Particularly effective for chemical bunds due to its robust chemical resistance
Full directions for use are on the product container. Here are some tips to help use this coating most effectively. Use with Epoxytread Primer. if surface is in poor condition or the surface is very porous. New concrete should be at least 21 – 28 days old or the moisture less than 5%.
Approximate cure times on this product are: 24 hours for foot traffic and 7 days for a full cure (chemical resistance and mechanical properties)
Unsure which epoxy resin floor paint you need? Our blog gives information about where, when and how to use: polyurethane floor paint; epoxy paint for floors and chlorinated rubber paint.

Surface Condition: The floor must be clean, dry, and free from any contaminants.
Priming: Highly recommended for very porous surfaces or concrete in poor condition. Use Epoxytread Solvent Free Primer to ensure maximum adhesion. Apply it in a thin, continuous film, working it well into the concrete while avoiding “puddling.”
Temperature: Minimum application temperature is 5°C.
This is a two-component system (Resin A and Curing Agent B).
1. Add the entire contents of Curing Agent B into the Resin A container.
2. Mix thoroughly (preferably with a slow-speed drill) until the colour is completely even.
3. Pot Life: Once mixed, you have approximately 40 minutes (at 20°C) to apply the product. In warm/dry conditions, this can drop to 15 minutes.
4. Note: Do not save any mixture for later; use the entire contents of the container immediately.
Method: Apply by brush or roller suitable for epoxy coatings.
Edges: Use a brush at the edges to achieve a smooth, tidy finish.
Coats: Usually, two coats are recommended for long-term protection and the required thickness.
Recot Interval: Apply the second coat as soon as possible, preferably the next day.
Extended Gap: If more than 24 hours pass between coats, you must lightly abrade the surface with glass paper before applying the second coat to ensure adhesion.
Thinning: DO NOT THIN. This is a solvent-free formulation.
Colours Available: Dark Grey, Light Grey, Mid Grey, Platinum, Carmine Red. (Bespoke RAL/BS colours available on request).
Pack Sizes: 5 kg and 10 kg (Two-part kits: Resin A + Hardener B).
(Data based on 20°C ambient temperature)
Surface Dry: 24 hours (Safe for foot traffic).
Hard Dry: 7 days (Full chemical and mechanical cure).
Overcoat: 12 – 24 hours. Lightly abrade surface if interval exceeds 24 hours.
Theoretical Coverage: 15 $m^2$ per 5 kg unit (150 – 200 microns DFT).
Thinning: DO NOT THIN. Solvent-free formulation; use Epoxytread Solvent Free Primer for porous substrates.
Cleaning: Clean tools immediately with a suitable epoxy solvent. Pot life: approx. 40 minutes at 20°C.
If using more than one batch of the same colour, intermix before use.
Usable time (1.0kg mix) at 20°C – 40 minutes
Minimum application temperature – 5°C
Initial cure (foot traffic) – 24 hours
Full cure (chemical resistance,
mechanical properties) – 7 days
Dry film thickness – 150 – 200 microns
Shelf life – 12 months
Storage temperature – 5°C – 35°C
Mixed S.G.@ 20°C – 1.30 – 1.40 (Resin & Curing Agent mixed together)
CHEMICAL RESISTANCE
EPOXYTREAD Solvent Free Coating – High Build is resistant to a very wide range of chemicals, but we recommend that any specific chemical resistance properties should be cleared with our Technical Department before use.

(Coverage rate can be affected by such variables as type and condition of substrate, type of application equipment and individual method of application.)
Q: What is the main purpose of Palatine Epoxytread Epoxy Floor Paint?
A: It is a high-performance, two-component (resin and curing agent) floor paint designed for industrial and commercial environments. It provides a hard-wearing, hygienic, and dust-free surface that is easy to clean.
Q: Where is this paint typically used?
A: It is widely used in factories, warehouses, showrooms, laboratories, schools, food processing areas, and plant rooms. It is also suitable for chemical bunds and internal tank linings (e.g., for oil or water storage).
Q: Do I need a primer?
A: Priming is highly recommended for very porous surfaces or concrete in poor condition. Epoxy Floor Paint Primer should be used to ensure maximum adhesion.
Q: Can it withstand vehicle traffic?
A: Yes, it is designed for heavy foot traffic and is suitable for light vehicular traffic.
Q: What colours are available?
