Stuck with what colour to go for? Here’s our expert advice:

  • Neutral : Basic creams and whites – makes your space feel bright and airy, perfect for them small rooms.
  • Greys : Modern ‘In’ look, easy to make a colour co-ord. A very popular choice.
  • Blues: Make a statement and go for that vibrant blue, or go traditional with a pastel blue.
  • Greens: Gives the impression of sophistication, perfect for that wow factor.
  • Black: Practical for larger areas, a bold statement that everyone loves.

Touch dry in 3 hours and hard dry in 8 hours. Leave 24 hours before overcoating.

Estimated Coverage: 12 to 14sqm per litre… A little goes a long way!

Also available in an aerosol form.

Preparation

Surface Cleaning: Ensure the area is free from dust, oil, grease, and old flaking coatings. The surface must be clean and dry.

Sanding: Rub down previously gloss-painted surfaces with fine waterproof abrasive paper and rinse thoroughly to ensure proper adhesion.

Priming: For the best finish and durability, prime surfaces (especially bare wood, MDF, or laminate) with Palatine All Purpose Primer / Undercoat.

Test Patch: Always carry out a test patch (~100x100mm) to check compatibility with previous coatings and ensure the colour is correct.

Conditions: Apply in warm (minimum 10°C) and dry conditions. Do not apply if the temperature is below 10°C.

Application

Mixing: Stir thoroughly for approximately 2 minutes (using a drill stirrer or a wooden batten at least 25mm wide).

Methods:
* Brush/Roller: Use a brush or short-to-medium pile roller for smooth surfaces; use a long pile roller for textured surfaces.
* Spray: If spraying, apply thin coats and allow each to dry before the next.

Coats: A second coat at full strength is recommended to prolong the life and performance of the finish.

Please note: The colours on the product listings are only given as a guide. This is due to the fact that every computer monitor has a different capability to display colours. In addition, everyone sees these colours differently. Sample pots are available to order upon request. Always carry out a test patch (approximately 100x100mm) before full application to ensure compatibility with previous coatings and the substrate, and to ensure the colour achieved meets your requirements. Failure to do so will result in a product refund claim not being accepted.
