Preparation

Surface Cleaning: Use the included White Spirit to wipe down wooden surfaces to remove dust, grease, or contaminants before applying oils or varnishes.

Tool Setup: Ensure brushes are clean and dry before use. Pour the required amount of paint into the 5L scuttle for easy access.

Application

Technique: Use the 4″ brush for broad sections and the 2″ brush for cutting in or smaller woodwork.

Mixing: Use the scuttle to intermix paint batches if necessary to ensure colour consistency across larger areas.

Storage: Store the White Spirit in a cool, well-ventilated area away from heat or open flames. Ensure the container is tightly sealed when not in use.

Pack Sizes: 1 Litre, 2.5 Litre, 5 Litre, 25 Litre, 205 Litre.

(Based on standard conditions of 20°C)

Surface Dry: N/A (Evaporating solvent).

Hard Dry: N/A

Overcoat: N/A

Store in a cool, well-ventilated area away from heat and open flames. Keep containers tightly sealed when not in use.

Theoretical Coverage: N/A (Used as a solvent and cleaning agent). (Effectiveness depends on the specific cleaning or thinning task and the surface area involved.)

Thinning and Cleaning

Thinning: Ideal for thinning traditional oil-based paints and varnishes.

Cleaning: Used as a general cleaning and degreasing agent. Perfect for cleaning paint brushes, trays, and other decorating tools, as well as wiping down wooden surfaces before applying oils or varnishes.
