Product Description
2K Direct to Metal Paint including Activator, is an acrylic high quality two pack coating. 2K DTM Paint is Ideal for use on galvanised sheets, light alloy parts, steel and industrial fabrication.
As a result this is perfect for industrial and commercials applications. 2K DTM Paint is an abrasion resistant coating perfect for commercial use on trailers and chassis (bodywork)
2 Pack Direct To Metal Suitable substrates : steel fabrications, trailers and vehicle chassis, galvanised steel and light alloys surfaces.
- Metal surfaces need to be clean, dry and degreased and free from rust and contamination.
- Light Alloys: need to be clean, dry and degreased. lightly abrade surface to guarantee direct adhesion.
- Galvanised sheets : ensure all white powder corrosion is removed with through wire brushing.
If you are looking for a direct to galvanised metal paint, the 2K DTM Paint is ideal because of its excellent adhesion and no need for a separate primer. Making this an ideal coating to keep within budgets and time scales.
Available in gloss or matt finish and a wide range of colours including RAL Classic and British Standard colour codes.

Mixing Instructions
UHS Hardener ACTHS
Mix 8 parts paint to 1 part ACTHS
Dilute 5-10% with T51 thinners
The EU limit value for this product (product category: 11B.d) in ready to use form is
max. 420 g/litre of VOC.
The VOC content of this product in ready to use form is max. 420 g/litre.
HS Hardener ACTEC Fast dry (non-compliant)
Mix 4 parts paint to 1 part ACTEC
Dilute 5-10% with T51 thinners
Application:
Best results are obtained in warm (minimum 10°C), dry conditions.
Mix thoroughly for approximately 2 minutes using a drill stirrer.
For spray application by either airless or conventional spray.
1-2 coats are recommended to reach desired film thickness. This will prolong the life and performance of the coating.
If using more than one batch of the same colour, intermix before use
DRYING TIMES AND COVERAGE
Drying Times@20°C:
Flash off: 10 mins
Dust free : 20-30mins
Through dry : 24 hrs
Full cure : 14 days
Overcoating window: 4hrs to max 96hrs, after this sanding is required
Oven bake times
Flash off: 10 mins
60°C for: 30 mins
Typical Dry Film Thickness: 50 microns per coat
Pot Life: 4 hours at 20ºC
