Palatine Rubber Bitumen Emulsion is a high-performance, thixotropic, cold-applied rubberised bitumen emulsion designed to provide a durable, flexible, and waterproof coating. Upon application, it appears brown but dries to a tough, black finish. This product is specifically formulated to protect concrete and brick foundations, retaining walls, and bridge abutments from water ingress and sulphate attacks present in soils.

Please note: This is a water based emulsion and must be completely dry before being subjected to wet conditions

Surface Preparation
Ensure all surfaces are sound, stable, and free from dust, dirt, grease, oil, and loose material.
Can be applied to damp (not waterlogged) surfaces.
Porous or hot dry surfaces should be dampened with clean cold water before application.

Application
Stir well before use.
Apply using a brush.
Do not apply in wet weather or if rain is expected.
Ensure good ventilation in confined areas.
Allow each coat to dry completely before applying the next.

Drying times
Drying times are dependant on Temperature, Humidity and substrate porosity, therefore it is not possible to give a definitive time but normally the DPM would dry overnight.

Special Applications
Floors (Sandwich Construction): Apply 2 coats at 1 m²/L. Blind second coat with sand. Apply 50mm screed.
Interior Walls (Moderate Damp): Apply 2 coats at 2 m²/L. Leave 300mm untreated for moisture escape.
Exterior Walls: Apply 3 coats at 2 m²/L. Blind final coat with sand.
Plastering on Difficult Surfaces: Apply 2 coats at 4.5 m²/L. Blind second coat with sand before plastering.

Cleaning
Clean tools with warm water before the product sets.
If dried, remove with White Spirit or paraffin.
