Application Conditions
Ideal working temperature is 25°C while less effective temperatures lie in the 10°C and below range.
Preparation
Always test an inconspicuous area before use to ensure the compatibility and finished result is acceptable. Ensure the surface(s) to be stripped are dry before applying the Enviromose Paintstripper. Protection should be Provided for floor coatings that you do not wish to remove or any surface that may be damaged by the remover i.e. perspex, plastics, rubber etc.
Application
Cover the top with a cloth during opening to avoid splashes.
Layer a generous, even coat onto the surface to be stripped.
Apply with a suitable clean brush or airless spray. Do not brush out
Leave for approximately 2 hours and apply a second generous coat. (On less than five layers of Paint or Varnish, a second coat may not be necessary).
After the Product has penetrated the substrate (up to 24 hours) scrape off with a suitable scraper, leaving surface as clean as possible.
Rinse clean with cold water containing detergent and a stainless steel scourer, leave to dry.
Never use steel wool – stainless steel only.
For heavily contaminated surfaces such as lintels, ledges, old masonry and other substates that are often heavily coated, it is necessary to apply up to 1m2 per litre of paint remover.
Cover with thin plastic such as cling film or bin liners, Proceed to tape the edges.
Leave for a minimum of 24 hours, scrape off excess and rinse clean with cold water containing detergent and a stainless steel scourer.
Cleaning
Remove as much excess Product as possible and clean tools and equipment immediately after use with soapy water.
Coverage
1 litre will strip 1-3 m2 dependant on thickness and amount of layers / coatings to be stripped
Stripping Times
Varnish: up to 60 minutes
Two pack varnish: up to 3 Hours
Heavy multi-layered paint: 120 mins – Overnight Two pack lacquer: up to 24 Hours
Artex: 1 – 4 Hours
