Alkalinity Reducer is used to lower total alkalinity and help bring pH back into the correct range in swimming pool or spa water. This matters when using (liquid chlorine) because chlorine works best within a balanced pH range. If pH is too high, sanitising performance drops and you may need more product to achieve the same result. Using an Alkalinity Reducer as part of routine water balance helps sodium hypochlorite disinfect more effectively and supports clearer, more stable pool water.
