Preparation

General: Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from dust, oil, grease, old coatings, and contaminants.

Previously Gloss Painted Surfaces: Rub down with fine waterproof abrasive paper and rinse thoroughly.

Wood/Timber: This paint provides excellent barrier protection for bare or new timber and can be used as a sealer for oily woods or to prevent “bleeding” from Creosote, bitumen, or nicotine.

Special Surfaces: Can be used on radiators and hot pipes (heat-resistant up to 150°C) or as a solar reflective coating for roofs.

Testing: Always carry out a test patch (approx. 100x100mm) to ensure compatibility with previous coatings and the substrate.

Application

Conditions: Best results are obtained in warm (minimum 10°C) and dry conditions. Do not apply when ambient temperature falls below 10ºC.

Mixing: Stir thoroughly for approximately 2 minutes using a drill stirrer or a wooden batten (at least 25mm wide).

Methods:
* Brush/Roller: Apply an even coat. Use short to medium pile rollers for smooth surfaces and long pile for textured ones.
* Spray: Supplied ready for use for either airless or conventional spray application.

Coats: A minimum of two coats is recommended for both metal and wooden surfaces.

Protection: Keep coated areas dry for at least 24 hours after application.

Please Note: The colours on the product listings are only given as a guide. This is due to the fact that every computer monitor has a different capability to display colours. In addition, everyone sees these colours differently.  Always carry out a test patch (approximately 100x100mm) before full application to ensure compatibility with previous coatings and the substrate, and to ensure the colour achieved meets your requirements. Failure to do so will result in a product refund claim not being accepted.
