Product Description
Carbodeck UV Complete Decking Paint is a tough, durable polyurethane oil based coating for the decoration and protection of old & new timber deck boards, spindles and most exterior woodwork.
- Contains UV absorbers to protect the timber from harmful sun rays.
- Hard wearing satin finish with excellent coverage.
- Available in a wide range of colours including BS4800, BS 381C, Ral Classic & NCS.
- Blended silicone resin provides protection from the heat generated by direct sunlight.
Preparation:
On previously painted surfaces, ensure it is sound and non-flaking. Abrade the surface preferably by mechanical abrasion to provide a “key” and maximise adhesion of the subsequent coating. With your stiff-bristled brush, scrub your decking boards with Barrettine Super Concentrated Decking Cleaner to completely clean and remove as many persistent stains, mould, and algae as you can. Allow at least 24 hours to completely dry.
Application:
Best results are obtained in warm (minimum 10°C), dry conditions.
Stir the paint with a drill stirrer or wooden baton at least 2” wide. Continue to stir during application to avoid settling of the product.
Apply by brush, roller or spray and work well into the surface. Avoid applying the paint too thickly to avoid delaying drying times. The second and subsequent coats can be applied as soon as the first / preceding coat is dry usually after 12-24 hours, and should be applied within 5 days. If more than 5 days elapse, the first coat should be lightly abraded before the second coat is applied. Avoid power washing the surface for 7 days.
Thinning and Cleaning: Use Palatine White Spirit.
If using more than one batch of the same colour, intermix before use
Please note: The colours on the product listings are only given as a guide. This is due to the fact that every computer monitor has a different capability to display colours. In addition, everyone sees these colours differently. Sample pots are available to order upon request. Always carry out a test patch (approximately 100x100mm) before full application
to ensure compatibility with previous coatings and the substrate, and to ensure the colour achieved meets your requirements. Failure to do so will result in a product refund claim not being accepted.
