Wood Preservatives

Wood stains have ‘micro-porous’ properties, which means that they’ve the ability to become part of the grain by absorbing itself into the wood. It is used as a finishing coat and helps to bring out the character and colour of the paint underneath. Our range includes some of the most commonly used types of wood oil such as Teak and Danish oils which, much like preservatives and varnishes offer a highly resilient barrier against scratches. Typically imparting a transparent overcoat, they are perfect for preventing chipping and peeling.

Wood preservative from Palatine and Barrettine brands have been made to ensure that outdoor wood items are protected from various kinds of dangers such as fungi, bacteria and insects that all have the capacity to damage items beyond repair. Our range has the ability to extend the lifecycle of the wood by forming a long lasting barrier against outside elements.
